My son Rajeshmurthi purchased a Samsung split airconditioner on 29/07/2008 going by the big publicity being made by this concern every now and then.Presently he is in U S. The air conditioner is not working properly and I made a complaint to Samsung Service Centre on 22/04/2009 at Tel.1800 11 00 11.They received the complaint and gave a number 8408392326. The next day (23/04/2009) one gentleman telephoned and informed that service engineer would attend to the fault within 24 hours. The nextday one other gentleman contacted me to say that I should telephone 24714916 which is supposed to be the exclusive service centre of Rathna Cool House (P) Ltd who attends service calls in respect of Acs purchased from them.Immediately I contacted the said number. I was told that a service engineer will be during the course of the day.However till date (03/05/2009) no one has come. I am also contacting them everyday.One Ms.Uma who attends to the telephone gives parrot kind of reply stating that the service engineer would be sent.The fact remains that even after 10 days the complaint is yet to be attended.The way in which reply is made on receiving the call,I feel that i am made a fool. I have to curse myself for having purchased an appliance gong by their cheap publicity. I could infer that the so called discount is made at the cost after sale service. Anyway I learnt a lesson and caution others about the problem they are going to face on dealing with Rathna Group of Concerns.

what you says is correct. In this mercury day, we stop to cry with samsung service partner(m/s cool home) as well as support.india@samsung.com, because my sweating is more.
past one week my air conditioner genereting more sound in out and indoor unit.(I purchase on 30thJanuary’2009)
when i inform to customer service support, they sent one person he attended and informed, this is due to commissioning and installation done by service partner m/s cool home. When I contact cool home one gentleman mr.prabu, simply say their service people will come on monday. I took leave and nobody turnedup to solve the problem till now.
Now came to know why I should buy the samsung ac and i am an enemy to my neighbour due to generating the more sound during the night.
I think this is good lesson from M/s Rathna fan house M/s cool home and samsung India

I have bought the Samsung split a/c 1.5 ton for Rs. 25490/- hot payment on 22nd June 2009, with-in a week the a/c stopped functioning with no reason. I live in France and my parents use it in Chennai.
When they ship the a/c, it has got too many scratches and looks old. They convinced & forced me to take it. That’s where the issue now since I accepted it, sounds like they have given me the used one.
Now we are facing a bad service from Ratna FAN House. After making too many calls, each week a person visit from Ratna FAN house and do nothing, just saying that the spare is not available.
Until now, nothing has been done and we understand that we are literally cheated by Ratna FAN House. I have asked my Dad to file a case in Consumer court.
Rathan FAN House is an electronic shop where they sell used air conditioner as a new air conditioner and eat money from customers.
So I request all not to buy anything from Rathna FAN house, its a place where people get cheated and land up in stress. If you want save Rs.1000/- for installation charges and then land up in having a machine Rs.25490/- without functioning, then its a right place.
I will keep you posted about the progress, I am really pissed off with Rathna Fan House.
I have purchased one samsumg airconditioner in the year 2007
and was working fine.
But only last week the compressor was out and the service
engineer came and took the same for service.
to my surprise, the room is not getting coold,
eventhough the ac is running. I do not know what
they have changed, whether they have changted the
compressor or just serviced the same.
i want a solution in this regard
they have charged rs.2700 towards gas refilling
service and transpotion, which is high on our side
i request the samsung india to replace the ac,
if it is not working fine

Actually i am thougt of purchasing a split ac at rathna fan after seeing the deepavali offer.but after seeing the above said review i dropped and searching for good agency. Thanks for your coments.

Nice to see such a long list of “concerned” customers of Ratna fan house
I hv pruchased a 1.5 T AC from them in 2005. The mc was good for 2 yrs and then started giving problems., the electronic card conked, the thermostat conked, 2 time gas leak ..
Pls remember that the service engineers who come dont always want to do a clean job. They ask you if they can do the job unofficially !!
Now that i hv spent 1/2 the cost of the equipment in repairs and services, i am planning to change the machine and go for Onida as every one is suggesting that they are good
I believe that the issue is in the brand and not the shop per se. May be the co’s are using the shop to send off seconds at a discount ??
Rathna Fan House is a crap place. Anybody who has visited the showroom will vouch this. I would only call it a warehouse. Not to mention the rude customer handling. Makes me wonder why people throng there as if they get the products for free!

do not buy onida a.c. water will fall like a falls from a.c. no remedy for it.
Guys i made a mistake by coming second time to Rathna fan house ,the A/c was delivered in a such a way that i should not have accepted it (all the packing of compressor was open )but still beliving that its such big company i thought they wouldn’t be making any mistakes now i am worried wat’goingto happen to the a/c after seeing so many of your comments ……..one more interesting info to people who still wanted to go and buy A/c in rathna fan house …….these guy promised me that they would install the a/c the very next day i bought .they didn’t do so …when i called the A/C service provided ,to my max fuzz,they informed that no service call to install the A/C was logged by the sales company and they requested if i still want to installthe A/c they will help me.
Looks RFH is a terrible place to buy and ac. Had visited three days back to buy a split ac and the feedback on scratched, non timely installation actually makes me feel that once I pay my money i am at their mercy. Thanks a lot to all of you. RFH bye bye.

I purchased a Samsung Ac frm rathna. Ac compressor was not working and i made a request for servicing it and to my surprise I came to know that Samsung company will not be responsible for purchasing samsung products from Ratna cools, They have a seperate service centre and I need to contact only them.. they took my compressor and i did not recieve any reply so i tried calling them and i got a reply saying i will get back in another 2 days. I did not receive for one week, so i called again , the service centre people is saying that i have to wait and get a call once the compressor is repaired and they were not ready to give a date after that.. planning to go for consumer court. I am having a worst experience after purchasing AC from Ratna cools chennai ( t.nagar). almost one month of my warranty has gone under this. I am recommending all my friends not to purchase any goods from Ratna….. I wanted everyone to know about their worst service thats why i am writing here… all please be aware of their frauds….
Oh God… came to know that everyone faced lot of problems in purchasing discounted rates a/c from Ratna fan house. I want to give a small suggestions to those who are all faced problems … During 2000 middle, contacted a small a/c dealer in chennai and asked for a quotation. after negotiation finally he fitted an OGeneral machine 2 ton window a/c with kirloskar motor inside( its a assembled machine). Since 2000 so far only one time the machine was serviced and two times it was shifted due to shifting of my residence inside chennai. I am really satisfy with the person who takes care of the a/c. For this service i gave so many ref. to him for this better service. Trustworthy person!!!

Rathna Fan House is the worst show room they are using the name which have become famous in all these years and our dear people who always have these mindset of kairasi shop go in herds to RFC to buy Fans and ACs In fact RFC have leased there shops to major AC and Fan dealers to set up shop in ther premises kind of double game

i have purchased carrier a/c split on 9th apr. Delivery date supposed to be on 14th. But they delivered on 15th. Till date no one has turnedup for installation. try to contavt the rathna fan house. no one is picking up the phone.
i dont know where i am.
rathna fan house things once they recd the money their responsibility is over.
Carrier things they delivered the goods. thier responceblity is over.
To whom we should contact to statr my a/c.
Will be highly appriciated if someone takes some action on the above.

Please do not buy an Airconditioners from such deptl stores like ratna fan house, vivek or vasanth and co. Check with the companies and get the list of authorised dealers exclusive for that company and then buy.
Never go by free bees anounced by these petty minded business housed who have no business ethics.
Whoever suffered (as i could see many here) are advised to write up in mouthsut.com and cosumercomplaints. com and also file a case in consumer forum (provided you have a valid bill and warranty card) for “deficiency in service” and “supply of product which is substandard” and also claim compensation for ” mental agony and humliation” etc.

Samsung says that they wont service any issues. I got flap not working in 1 month of purchase (march 2010) and chasing rathna fanhouse guys.

We have bought a Hitachi 1.5 ac from RFH in Aug2008. So far it
is working fine. We were attended promptly by Hitachi service centre personnels.
But, I do have some concerns about the lights which we have bought from Ratna electricals. Few tube lights (comes at one feet length with all fittings as a set) which we have bought for bath rooms and wash area started flickering in the second month itself.

I agree with every one. I bought voltas vertis plus i window ac on 29th of may and got installed on 1st of June. During the installation there was a noise from compressor fan, they have told some problem occurred during transportation and they fixed the problem at my home itself. after 2 days there is a noise again from the same location. Now ac gets switched of with in 15 minutes.
I have called customer care and lodged a complaint and he told me that the compliant no will be sent to my mobile, which did not happen. I have again called and checked with them and they are saying i have not lodged any compliant so far.
I got irritated and was searching reg ratna fan house reviews today and found this site, I consider myself unlucky not to have seen this page before i purchase my ac.
please spread the awareness to your friends reg this and advice them not buy at ratna fan house.
